This weeks troubleshooting video is a demonstration of Joergen conducting the Hand Drop Rapid induction at the April 2011 Provocative Hypnosis Training…
Once you’ve watched the demo at approximately (3 minutes in) the video moves onto Joergen giving hints, tips, and practical advice about the technique demonstrated.
Not only does the video demonstrate hypnosis in action but Joergen also elegantly describes how traditional ‘convincers’ used by hypnotists can hinder the idea of rapid inductions.
If you require any further convincing then please watch the video and notice what other nuances you find in the demo.

Welcome to the weekly troubleshooting tip of the week…
Have I got a brilliant demo lined up for you today… Or have I got a brilliant demo lined up for you today…
This weeks VIDEO delves into Guru worship and Projection…
Can you think of anyone you admire?
Someone you ‘look up to’?
Maybe they’re your ‘guru’ and you’d just love to be like them whilst owning the qualities that seem to ooze effortlessly from them?
If only I could or If only I was like or If only I had the….. I wish I was… Repeat to fade internal dialogue…
In the world of NLP & Hypnosis some people can and do take advantage of their art and utilise their skills to have you believe that.
BUT it’s not the truth and many trainers find it difficult to push their ego aside and make it clear as we all like a good old ego massage from time to time.
The problem is that after many a training if no-one has let you know or you’ve not yet discovered it for yourself… The source of your learning will be outside of YOU…
AND that in my opinion is what numerous schools of NLP do either consciously or unconsciously…
Because you may come back to the Master Track or the Advanced super jedi ninja higher Huna module… And that’s sometimes more important for them than the good old NLP ecology check!
I remember when I first listened to John Grinder talking and being in awe of his presense, his movements, his precision, his mind and thinking to myself he’s so cool… And today I still think the same… Yet differently, and I’m cool with that…
So how can you claim back ownership of those talents that you’ve been projecting outside yourself and nurture them from within as part of your ongoing personal development through time?
Watch the video and find out…
And embody the skills you already have even more to new and exciting levels with another simply complex piece of elegant change-work from Joergen Rasmussen.
A quick note for Trainers or would be trainers… Have you ever left a training buzzing about them and their skills as you aspire to be like them?
Then as you’ve got to know your trainer more you realised that some of the things you thought about them the opposite was just as true?
Then maybe felt let down or maybe even deceived???
Sometimes it’s all about the numbers and the intention is to take your money whilst keeping you hyped… Hindsight is always a great teacher…
Bring hindsight a little closer so in future you have the foresight to choose your trainer and the way you look at them differently…
After all they’re only human…
Just like YOU…

Hi Everyone and welcome to the weekly 10 minute troubleshooting tips with myself Wayne Marsh & Joergen Rasmussen the author of the book ‘Provocative Hypnosis’…
These weekly audios are aimed at offering practical hints, tips and advice for both aspiring and seasoned change-workers.
This weeks Troubleshooting tip is part two of two and gives practical advice on how to utilise language with your clients for change. These tips are simple, practical and can help you create major shifts in your clients thinking and behaving in a very short space of time.
Again we encourage you not take our word for it because we’d like you to test the ideas and come back to us.
Next week we will be interviewing our cameraman that you may have saw hypnotically led to believe that the hallucinations, amnesia and a whole host of other phenomena were really just a 10 minute massage in a chair…
Keep tuned in to find out what happened afterwards and get his thoughts and insights to this fascinating realm…
Salman Rushdie once stated:
If you want to tell the untold stories, if you want to give voice to the voiceless, you’ve got to find a language. Which goes for film as well as prose, for documentary as well as autobiography. Use the wrong language, and you’re dumb and blind.
Enjoy!

Improving your vision ~ of what’s possible
In the following video you’ll see a real live demonstration of a hypnotic regression conducted with the ‘cameraman’ who was assisting at the Provocative Hypnosis Training in April 2011.
Previously mentioning his eyesight was poor in certain ways and expressed he’d be willing to explore some ‘phenomena’. There are a few amazing things in this video and for some I guess it may appear difficult to believe that this is actually ‘real’ for the person.
It was for me so I would have been with you at one time…
The reason I say that is I’ve been a BIG sceptic of Hypnotic Phenomena for a long time (especially when watching stage hypnosis). Throughout my NLP training hypnosis was never really introduced in the ways that as I’ve fine-tuned my training I’ve started discovering.
Now, In the video You’ll notice a variety of different phenomena being elicited and we’d like to offer it up as an invitation for you to explore and consider after watching:
What are some of the ways you could utilise this type of work?
What are the implications for change-work?
At the end of the video Joergen suggested amnesia for the work and then tests his suggestions. The person really believed they’d just had a 10 minute relax in a comfy chair. Moreover, we really tested the suggestions for the rest of the day or should I say I did and the next day…
The reason for me being so motivated to test the suggestions in pure fascination was that the ‘cameraman’ means quite a bit more to me than that….
It was my 16 year old step-son!!!
So myself and Joergen are really keen on opening up a discussion about this video and we’d really appreciate your comments and questions.
Levi had no idea that he’d got the capacity to change his world like that…
Until I showed him the video that your about to see!
For anyone with a new code/classic background that may have read Whispering in the wind or has a copy to hand you may like to refer to page 133 and John Grinders writing about ‘Maribeth’.
In short John recognizes that Maribeth is wearing contact lenses and utilizes hypnotic regression to enhance her eyesight.
Another statement taken from Whispering:
We are aware that with discipline, training and/or the use of hypnotic patterning it is possible to influence portions of ones physiology at levels well before FA. Development of this topic is well beyond the scope of this book. Whispering in the wind – footnote (5) page 46
1. How do you think the guy responded when I showed him the video a couple of
days later… hint, his response is very typical of the highly hypnotizable ?
2. What are the implications of this demo for change work…
How does hypnotizability factor into the mix ?
3. What pitfalls do you think its important to watch out for when people have
so much hypnotic capacity ?
4. For those with a “hypnosis as a state ” perspecitve… and for those with a more
socio cognitive “non state” perpective on hypnosis.. How do you make sense out of
this video and does it alter your current stance in any way?
5 : What does this video suggest, if anything, about the relationship between
personality traits and hypnotic capacity… and how is that relationship
relevant for change work ?
In a follow up to this and anticipating your questions I’ll be interviewing Levi and quite possibly some of the provocative Hypnosis participants so we can utilise this example as a method for learning to all involved.
Enjoy…

If you talk to a man in a language he understands,
That goes to his head.
If you talk to him in his language,
That goes to his heart.

These weekly audios are aimed at offering practical hints, tips and advice for both aspiring and seasoned change-workers.
This weeks Troubleshooting tip offers a concept Joergen likes to call ‘Role Projection’. If you want a couple of ideas that will radically improve your results and increased responsiveness with your clients then we think you’ll enjoy the following audio.
However, please don’t take our word for anything because we’d like you to test the ideas and come back to us. Once you have tested and gotten feedback from the real world then please come back and share your findings…
As John Grinder often says:
‘A pattern given belongs to the presenter.
A pattern discovered belongs to the discoverer’.
What are you going to discover?

These weekly audios are aimed at offering practical hints, tips and advice for both aspiring and seasoned change-workers. Joergen has had his own private practice for over 13 years and I’m sure you’ll find some of his ideas, both groundbreaking and packed with nuances derived from years of being in the trenches, inspiring…
This weeks Troubleshooting tip offers a way of pre-tasking or after session tasking that can be utilised when working with clients who present themselves with anxiety or are depressing themselves… Rather than remaining passive in the process both client and trainer get active and get results that sometimes are more like profound shifts in thinking and behaving even before they step into your office…
We’d like to invite you to the idea (I for one was guilty at the beginnings of my NLP training) that some of the more seemingly simple tasks can help you get the most leverage with your clients…
Please enjoy and please test these ideas to the MAX in experience and hopefully feedback on your progress through time…
So please enjoy and here you go:

In the very first instance Joergen invites listeners to consider asking themselves the following question when working with clients:
What is this person likely thinking under the surface that no-one including
themselves might have been willing to verbalise?
Here is the audio ~ Please enjoy.
